About
The Rare and Fancy Plant sale has grown from humble beginnings, from a small group of rare plant enthusiasts, in a front yard on the Eastern Shore of Hobart, in 2019. It has grown each year and attracts crowds of eager, enthusiastic gardeners and plant collectors. The RFPS currently takes place annually.
In 2025 it will be held on Sunday 9th November from 10 am to 2 pm, at The Kingborough Community Hub, located at 7 Goshawk Way, Kingston.
The Rare and Fancy Plant Sale has both new and established local plant propagators who specialise in rare or unusual plants, plus artisans who focus on garden or botanical items. We also have food vendors and book signing activities.
We believe in promoting sustainability, and encourage customers to bring their own bags and boxes.
Coffee, snack and lunch will be available from the exciting local food vendors Smallest Pancakes in Town and Strada.
